Stand Up for Free Speech Community Oriented Radio! Learn more about what’s at stake in Pacifica’s delegate elections!

Penny Hess, pictured above (4th from left), chair of the African Peoples Solidarity Committee and one of the Uhuru Three facing trial in September, was a featured speaker. Chairman Omali Yeshitela of the African Peoples Socialist Party, also pictured above, was also able to join us. Scott Ritter, the other scheduled speaker, the former arms inspector and current peace commentator and podcaster, who was raided by the FBI, expressed his solidarity with the Uhuru Three and pointed to them as the leading freedom of speech case in the US, promising to bring them on his widely-followed podcast.

Candidates for listener delegates at the five Pacifica stations also spoke in the second half about their visions and efforts for securing a future for anti-war, anti-racist free speech community radio. All candidates on the call had an opportunity to speak regardless of whom they were running with.
